Steve Kyte

I am from London, UK and love to travel. I have been to just under 50 countries worldwide but somehow have been drawn to the Far East. After taking a sabbatical of six months at the end of 2003, I visited Australasia and southeast Asia. During this time I explored Thailand from north to south and stayed for a while in a small northern village with Thai people in order to acquaint myself with their customs and language. I was hooked and changed my career from multimedia designer to tour operator dedicated to bringing tourists to savour the richness of culture and beauty in this wonderfully friendly ‘Land Of Smiles’. I founded Asia Paradise Eco Tours* in 2006 and now take customers to many other countries in South East Asia.

Bangkok had been my home for many years (though I now live in the north east of Thailand) and I have became familiar with it’s myriad of sprawling roads and lack of strategic town planning. Being the hub of South East Asia and the most westernised city, yet still maintaining its original customs, looks and food, it has much to offer the visitor.
